A full day tour will provide you with a real taste of the traditional Cambodian way of life. Experience the local craft industries firsthand; see both sides of Battambang life. Meet some of the rural people and learn more about how they live and work in their villages. Bike through small villages, along tracks bordered by rice paddies and breathe in the fresh country air. The area around Battambang is one of the main rice producing areas in the country. The activities you can observe include making banana chips, manufacturing rice paper, distilling rice wine and tasting tropical/seasonal fruits. Our enthusiastic guide will be on hand every step of the way to enhance your experience by explaining what you see in more depth. After lunch, the tour heads to the south of the City, where more local sights and sounds await you: the Bamboo Train, the Monkey Bridge and a delicious Banh Chhav Cake (a rice pancake). This tour includes a lunch.
A tuk tuk will drop you at The Battambang Bike office around 8:00 am; try out a bike fitted- ensure all the bikes work properly and with a quick introduction about a guide and tour. A trip will be 20km ride circuit. ride along the river up north to see local livelihoods; such as Rice noodle- Bamboo sticky rice- oldest Buddhist temple [Somruong Knong temple]- then carry out a ride about 2km to take a temporary ferry across to the opposite side to hit Fish paste market while a concreted bridge has renovating. Continue a ride to rice wine spot and learn to they make it. follow up a schedule; visit a local house where they make dried banana and rice paper formation. Finally, we will stop at a crocodile farm on the way back to the office around lunch break then have lunch right away.
After lunch; we will continue our trip by going along road #1 to see the governor mansion and an old bridge opposite there. then; carry on to traditional house [old Khmer house] which is about 100 years old maintained. after that; we will see a potential suspension bridge about 4km away from old Khmer house. Finally; we will finish with a local snack. Back to the office.
